Johnsonville Ultimate Recipe Challenge
We invite you to be part of the Ultimate Recipe Challenge, brought to you by Nation’s Restaurant News and presented by Johnsonville Foodservice to benefit Pathways Kitchen.
The Ask
We want you to develop one unique, trend-worthy recipe utilizing one of the flavors from Johnsonville’s Ultimate Sausage line.* In your recipe, be sure to include one of the following Featured Products from Johnsonville's Ultimate Sausage line:

Fully cooked, premium coarsely ground pork sausage with a sweet honey and spicy heat blend, in a 5.75-inch collagen casing. Pre-browned with grill marks for superior flavor.

Fully Cooked, premium coarsely ground pork sausage with red and green bell peppers, onion, and creamy provolone cheese, in a 5.75-inch collagen casing. Pre-browned with grill marks for superior flavor.

Fully cooked, premium, coarsely ground pork sausage, traditionally seasoned with unmistakable Jalapeno flavor and creamy Cheddar Cheese, already browned. Grilled for superior flavor.

Fully cooked, premium, coarsely ground pork sausage, flavored with red bell pepper, green bell pepper, garlic, onion, cumin, chili powder and lime, already browned. Grilled for superior flavor.

*All Johnsonville Ultimate Sausages are fully cooked.
The Details
  • To enter, you must be a multi-unit foodservice operator with 20 or more locations in the United States.
  • You must be available from October 15-17, 2025 to be at CREATE in Nashville, TN if selected as a finalist.
  • Submit your entry for participation by Friday, May 30, 2025.
  • If you are selected to move forward in the competition, you'll receive an email with a link to the contest site and a recipe form for your submission.
  • You'll receive a sample box of Johnsonville's Ultimate Sausages the week of June 16, 2025 to help create your Ultimate recipe.
  • Final tested recipe entries must be submitted electronically using the official contest form by Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:59pm. A panel of esteemed industry professionals will review recipe submissions to select the 4 finalists.
  • Finalists will be notified by email by August 30, 2025.
The Perks
  • The 4 Finalists will be invited to attend CREATE 2025 in Nashville, TN from October 15-17, 2025. This includes air travel and hotel accommodations at the Omni Nashville for 2 nights.
  • The 4 finalist recipes will be featured at the opening reception at CREATE on October 15, 2025 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Omni. The hotel team will do all the prep work and support serving the dishes at the reception.
  • A prestigious panel of industry judges will taste each of the dishes during the reception to select a winner - to be announced on stage that evening.
  • The winner will receive full bragging rights, as well as PR support post-event. A $5,000 donation will be made in their honor to Pathways Kitchen Nashville.
